This email campaign aimed to attract a younger demographic to Yahoo! Finance while educating current
users about new features. We envisioned a fun, colorful, and engaging experience for a generation
interested in cryptocurrency.
Our biggest challenge was balancing stakeholder input. One group advocated for a complete overhaul
targeting young people, while the other valued the existing design and older demographic.
While Yahoo Creative Studio's fantastic new Warren Buffett campaign impressed me, it felt more
traditional compared to the bolder direction I envisioned for our email campaign.
Taking inspiration from the shapes and colors of the Buffett campaign, I translated those elements
into an eye-catching email campaign for Yahoo! Finance. To attract a new generation, we knew we
needed to embrace a touch of risk.
