Warner Bros. Pictures trusted us to create interactive ads for: Shazam!, The Mule, Smallfoot, and
Creed II.
The goal for this project was to use Zachary Levi’s green screen performance and
create an advert
that would be used as a countdown, as well as a way for the fans to purchase tickets.
Some of the main challenges we faced:
From the beginning, we knew that we had two parts for this request that needed to be addressed: One
was an end card, and the other was a bug that would run simultaneously with the trailer.
I decided that the best approach would be to create the end card first, taking
inspiration
from the Shazam main key art. We knew Shazam was a kid-friendly movie so it had to be fun.
We also had to use lightning and electricity since that is Shazam’s (or should I say Captain Marvel)
main super power 😁.
Once I had the end card going, I edited the same animation and effect to create the bug that was
ultimately used.
Both the end card and bug have a CTA that redirects the viewer to Fandango where they could check
times and even purchase a ticket.
The click-through was added using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, on top of Tremor's
proprietary technology.
